Although it was in the high 70's on Monday we were under a severe storm warning for Wednesday night. Snow predictions were 4" to 20" inches. We decided to take off for Estes Park before the storm on Tuesday to wait by the fire for the storm's arrival. By 10:00 p.m. the flurries began and we awoke to 13" of snow. It continued to snow that day. On Thursday the sun was out and the roads were clear and the snow was disappearing. We drove through Rocky Mountain National Park for mountain scenery.
