We stopped about 40 miles north of Phoenix at the KOA so that we could be fresh to enter the Scottsdale traffic. The KOA had a nice hot tub and we got the laundry done $1.25 to wash $.75 to dry. This amount of laundry would be $8.00 on St John.
We tried dinner at a place called the Stagecoach and were amazed and pleased to listen to the live western music of Cecil and the boys. They were really having a good time. My favorite was "I THINK I'LL JUST SIT HERE AND DRINK".
